    Turkey, ANTALYA

On the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on Saturday, Afghanistan’s acting foreign minister met with Turkey’s senior diplomat.

Amir Khan Muttaqi told reporters following his bilateral meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu that his country wanted to improve and strengthen ties with Ankara.

Muttaqi thanked Ankara for “allowing” him to attend the event, which is taking place in the southern resort province of Antalya, as well as for Turkey’s “humanitarian support” to Afghanistan.

This year, Turkey dispatched three special trains to Afghanistan, each carrying vital supplies.

At least 11 humanitarian groups from Turkey contributed to the supply of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan under the auspices of the state-run Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
