    Somali Magazine South West state will elect the final seven MPs on March 15, bringing the country’s long-running elections to a close for the second time.

    The State Indirect Elections Team said on Saturday that candidate registration would commence today (Saturday) as part of the final procedure.

    The South West will now join the Somaliland Caucus, which will hold elections in February in Mogadishu. It will also complete the exercise as the first Federal Member State.
    The state of South West has 69 members of Parliament, making it the largest in the Lower House. With eight Senators, South West is the Federal Member State with the most representatives in the Federal Parliament, from which Presidential Candidates will seek votes. It looks today that
