    Chairman's Message

    Dear Esteemed Readers,

It is with immense pride and gratitude that I reflect on the remarkable journey of Somali Magazine over the past seven years. What began as a vision to create a trusted platform that informs, inspires, and celebrates the Somali community has evolved into one of the leading media brands serving Somalis across Somalia, East Africa, and the global diaspora.

Over the past seven years, our commitment to quality journalism, community engagement, and celebrating excellence has remained unwavering. We are especially proud to have published the prestigious 100 Most Influential Somali People list for seven consecutive years, recognizing exceptional leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, professionals, and changemakers whose achievements continue to shape the future of our community.

Another significant milestone in our journey is the publication of our 66th monthly issue, a testament to our consistency, resilience, and dedication to delivering relevant, insightful, and impactful content month after month. Today, Somali Magazine prints 20,000 copies of every monthly edition, ensuring our stories, features, and business insights reach readers across Somalia, Kenya, and the wider East African region, while our digital platforms continue to connect with audiences throughout the global Somali diaspora.

As Somali Magazine has grown, so too has the impact of our events and initiatives. This year, we proudly celebrate the 7th Edition of the Somali Business Awards, our flagship event recognizing outstanding achievements in entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and business excellence across the Somali community. Over the years, the awards have become one of the most prestigious platforms for honoring individuals and organizations driving economic growth and inspiring future generations.

Our Somali Business and Health Expo has also become a cornerstone event, bringing together business leaders, healthcare professionals, investors, policymakers, and entrepreneurs to foster collaboration, investment, innovation, and community development.

In the past two years, we have expanded our regional footprint with the successful launch of the East Africa Somali Awards, hosting two outstanding editions in Nairobi that celebrate excellence and achievement across the wider East African Somali community. We have also introduced the Sharia Compliance and Halal Business Expo, which has now completed three successful editions in Nairobi, providing a premier platform for Islamic finance, halal industries, ethical investment, and sustainable business development.

These milestones represent more than achievements—they reflect the trust our community has placed in Somali Magazine as a platform that informs, connects, celebrates, and empowers. Together, we have built more than a publication; we have created a respected institution that showcases success, promotes opportunity, and strengthens the voice of Somalis both at home and around the world.

As we look to the future, we remain committed to expanding our reach, embracing innovation, and delivering world-class journalism, impactful events, and meaningful conversations that continue to elevate our community. Our vision is to strengthen Somali Magazine’s position as the leading Somali media, business, and events platform across the Horn of Africa and the global Somali diaspora.

“We are honored that our work has been recognized and supported by government institutions and international partners, reflecting the credibility and impact Somali Magazine has built over the past seven years.”

On behalf of the entire Somali Magazine team, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our readers, advertisers, sponsors, partners, contributors, and supporters. Your trust and collaboration have been the foundation of our success over the past seven years. Together, we have achieved extraordinary milestones, and we look forward to reaching many more in the years ahead.

    Warm regards,

    Ridwan Yusuf Mohamud
