(UPI) — On March 12th, the United Press International (UPI) published an article Saudi Arabia murdered 81 individuals in a mass execution on Saturday.
According to Deutsche Welle, the death of 81 individuals in one day is thought to be the country’s largest mass execution, exceeding a mass execution in 1980 when 63 people were convicted and executed for taking the Grand Mosque in Mecca in 1979.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior said in the country’s state-run Saudi Press Agency on Saturday that the executions were carried out based on sentences of capital penalty for convictions of terrorism and capital offences.
Murdering “innocent men, women, and children” and collaborating with terrorist organisations such as ISIS, Al Qaeda, and the Houthis to strike Saudi Arabia were among the offenses listed by the ministry.
