China helps Somalia’s diverse factions improve coordination, focus on growth and regeneration, and maintain political and social stability. China and Somalia have a long history of friendship. We have always backed Somalia in its efforts to protect its sovereignty and security.

    Somalia and China have significant historical ties, according to Abdisaid, and China is a trusted friend of Somalia. He aims to gain knowledge from China’s experience in state government, particularly in the area of poverty reduction.

    According to Wang Yi, the Global Development Initiative (GDI) proposed by President Xi Jinping prioritizes development and improves people’s livelihoods, and China is ready to deepen exchanges of state governance experience with Somalia within the framework of the GDI. China will push for the implementation of the nine African cooperation programs in Somalia and is accelerating the delivery of emergency food aid. China is prepared to continue providing humanitarian aid and personnel training, as well as to strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as agriculture, fisheries, health, and capacity building.

    Abdisaid gave an overview of the current situation in Somalia and the African Union Mission there. He praised China’s efforts in the Horn of Africa to promote unity and cooperation, and he agreed to hold the Horn of Africa peace conference. China, according to Wang Yi, is willing to continue contributing wisdom and strength to the Horn of Africa’s peace and stability.
