As part of its activities during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, a Turkish charity announced on Monday that it had provided food packages to 427 Somali families.

“We’ve arrived in Mogadishu, Somalia’s capital. We’ve delivered food and greetings to families who are suffering as a result of the drought “In a statement, the Istanbul-based Humanitarian Relief Organization (IHH) said.

The drought in Somalia, which has been caused by below-average rainfall since 2020, has had a significant impact on the people, according to the report. It is estimated that 4.3 million people have been directly affected, while at least 500,000 have been displaced, it added.
