According to the Health Ministry, an Israeli military raid in the West Bank city of Nablus on Thursday killed one Palestinian and injured six others.

Witnesses reported Israeli forces attacked the Ein Beit Al-Mai refugee camp in Nablus early in the morning and cornered a residential structure inside, resulting in fights with local residents.

According to witnesses, Israeli soldiers dispersed stone-throwing Palestinians using live fire, rubber-coated bullets and tear gas canisters.

According to the Health Ministry, a 20-year-old Palestinian was murdered and six others were injured, one critically.

According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, almost 170 Palestinians were temporarily asphyxiated by tear gas canisters shot by Israeli police.

According to witnesses, Israeli soldiers damaged a house for the family of Palestinian captive Osama Tawil, who is accused by the Israeli army of carrying out an incident last October that killed a soldier.

The Israeli army demolishes the homes of Palestinians suspected of carrying out assaults against Israelis, a strategy that rights groups have widely condemned as collective punishment.

Tensions have been high in the occupied West Bank in recent months as a result of regular Israeli raids into Palestinian villages.

According to Palestinian data, Israeli soldiers have killed 161 Palestinians since the beginning of this year. During the same time period, at least 21 Israelis were killed in separate attacks.
