Floods have ravaged Jowhar as the banks of the River Shabelle burst on Saturday.
Several villages are currently under water due to flooding.
Farmers in 72 communities are assessing their losses after floods devastated crops.
The Jowhar District Commissioner, Osman Mohamed Mukhtar, has requested aid from humanitarian organisations.
