President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Tuesday that Turkey rejects xenophobic, Islamophobic, and neo-Nazi discourse that targets refugees and has spread to other cultures after first taking hold in Western nations.
According to a statement by the Communications Directorate, in a message commemorating June 20, World Refugee Day, Erdogan emphasised that people all over the world, including those in the area surrounding Türkiye, are being forced to migrate because of things like terrorism, conflict, civil war, starvation, and famine.
“Today, there are around 110 million individuals who have been forcefully displaced. Among them, 62.5 million people have been internally displaced and 35.3 million refugees still reside outside of their countries of origin.
