Mogadishu(SOMALI MAGAZINE)-After finishing a training course, 300 new police officers were sworn in on Monday to participate in security operations aimed at ensuring the safety and security of people in Mogadishu, the Somali capital, during the holy month of Ramadan.
The Somali Police Force celebrated the swearing-in of 300 freshly trained troops, which provided a huge boost to Somalia’s security forces. The event, conducted at the General Kahiye Police Training School, was attended by Brigadier General Sulub Ahmed Firin, Commander of the Somali Police Force.
The celebration marked the end of the new troops’ hard training, and they are now ready to contribute to the safety and security of Somali civilians. Brigadier General Zakiye Hussein Ahmed, the Deputy Commander of the Somali Police Force, and other senior officers were also there to witness the historic event.
The inclusion of these troops to the police force demonstrates the continued attempts to bolster the country’s law enforcement capabilities. As they take their oath, the new army is ready to maintain the law and safeguard the Somali people.
