Somali Magazine Borussia Dortmund of the German Bundesliga is trying to reach their first UEFA Champions League final since 2013, when they face Paris-Saint-Germain (PSG) in the semifinal second leg on Tuesday.
The Black and Yellows will face the already-crowned Ligue 1 champions to defend their one-goal lead after the first leg concluded 1-0 in favor of the German club.
PSG boss Luis Enrique stated, “That’s football. Sometimes it’s fantastic, and other times, that’s how it is. We’ll have to evaluate the opportunities provided by both clubs.”
“The outcome demonstrates how tight the game was. This is a novel circumstance for both clubs. In the past two rounds, they had the home game as their second game, while we got the opposite.
Of course, we’ll need to be more effective there than we were in Dortmund,” he said.
Dortmund’s German head coach, Edin Terzic, stated that they hope to reach the final at Wembley Stadium, adding, “You have to earn your way to Wembley.” We only need a draw in the second leg, but we also want to win. We have a slight lead and an excellent chance.”
Borussia Dortmund won their sole Champions League title in 1997, while Paris Saint-Germain are yet to win their first trophy after losing 1-0 in the 2020 final to another German Bundesliga team, Bayern Munich.
