    Bayer Leverkusen became the first team in Bundesliga history to go the whole season undefeated.

    Leverkusen, champions for the first time in the German top flight, finished their historic season with a 2-1 victory over Augsburg, extending their unbeaten record in all competitions to 51 games.

    Victor Boniface and Robert Andrich both scored for the winning team at BayArena, while Mert Komur scored the sole goal for Augsburg.

    Bayer Leverkusen ended the Bundesliga with 90 points after 28 victories and six draws, 17 points ahead of second-place Stuttgart.

    Bayern Munich is third with 72 points, Leipzig fourth with 65, and Borussia Dortmund fifth with 63 points.

    Meanwhile, these five teams secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League.

    Darmstadt 98 and Koln were relegated. Bochum finished 16th and will face the Bundesliga 2’s third-placed club in a two-legged relegation playoff.
