    Somali Magazine: In Luzern, Switzerland, officials from the Federal Government of Somalia, Interpeace, and the World Trade Organization (WTO) participated in a roundtable discussion on peace, security, and economic dynamics, which was facilitated by H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia.

    The President outlined ongoing efforts to promote peace in Somalia during his opening comments, focusing on his goal of “Somalia in peace with itself and peace with the world.” In addition, he stressed the value of being a member of the WTO and the contribution that trade makes to tackling economic growth and instability.

    President Hassan reaffirmed the government’s dedication to promoting stability and peace via the Trade for Peace idea. He highlighted ongoing stabilization efforts aimed at restoring vital citizen-centered services to assist people in recently freed regions in creating safe and sustainable livelihoods, as well as measures to cement reconciliation at the state and national levels.
