Prime Suspect linked to the Serial Killings at Kware Dumpsite Arrested
Police have made announcement that they have made an arrest of a prime suspect believed to be connected to the several murders that took place at Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums in Nairobi, Kenya. According to the local news outlets in Kenya, the suspect was arrested Monday morning in hiding place in Kayole in Kenya after the disturbing crime that has prompted widespread concern and fear among local residents. The serial killings were initially suspected to be extrajudicial following the bloody Kenyan Finance bill protests.

Suspect Confesses to the Serial Killings

Police confirmed that the suspect confessed to the killings after raiding his house in Kayole, where they recovered ten mobile phones, seven identity cards, ten SIM cards, a panga, gloves, and several sacks similar to those found with bodies at the dump site and ropes.
“We believe we have a key and prime suspect in the murder of people whose bodies have been found dumped in the Kware area,” said one officer aware of the issue. Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) traced money that was withdrawn from the victims of the murder in Kware in their forensic audit.

According to the police, the arrest of the prime suspect and the developing evidences and probes is as a crucial step forward in the investigation, providing hope for justice and relief to the affected community. The authorities are likely intensifying efforts to gather evidence and build a strong case against the suspect, ensuring that they are held accountable for these heinous acts.

    Items Recovered

In his arrest, the suspect was found with a mobile phone that belongs to a victim identified as Josphine Owino accounting to two women who went missing between June 26 and June 28.
In the process of retrieving the bodies at the Kware dumping site, Josphine’s body was found along with other bodies stuffed in sacks.
Homicide detectives and the DCI team have relentlessly worked with the Kware community on the exhumation of the bodies at the dumping site, which has so far accounted for 10 of them.

It is believed that the bodies were discovered by a woman who claims to have had a dream about her missing sister and led a team to the dumpsite.

Police Response to the Serial Killings

Sources, however, reveal that the autopsy on the bodies will kick off Monday, July 15, at City Mortury, Nairobi, as the process of recovering more bodies is expected to continue at the dump site.
On the same note, the Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohamed Amin, is scheduled to hold a press conference on the latest developments in the saga on Monday, July 15.
On Sunday, Mohamed Amin said that the retrieved bodies preserved at City Mortuary are all female, ranging in age from 18 to 30.
“The modus operandi was almost the same. If you look at the age, it was between 18 and 30. These are all female. If you look at how the bodies have been disguised and packaged, they are all the same,” Amin said.

However, amid the ongoing recovery of the bodies, sources revealed that some of the sacks contained carcasses of dogs while others were bodies of human beings, making the detectives pursue three theories (cultism, rogue medics, and serial killings).
“Are we dealing with a cult that is associated with criminal activities? Are we dealing with serial killers that are also associated with criminal activities? Or even, could we be dealing with rogue medical practitioners who are dealing with criminal activities? All these are hypotheses we have tried to bring on board.”
