In a scathing interview with tech billionaire Elon Musk, former President Donald Trump launched a series of attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris, describing her as a “radical left lunatic” and “more incompetent” than President Joe Biden. The interview, which was conducted on Musk’s social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), was delayed by over 40 minutes due to technical difficulties but eventually drew in over a million listeners.
Trump and his Criticisms of Harris and Biden
During the audio-only conversation, Trump, who is set to face Harris in the upcoming November 5 election, did not hold back in his critique of the Vice President. He labeled Harris as a “third-rate phoney candidate” and accused her of failing miserably on border security. Trump claimed that under the Biden-Harris administration, “hundreds and thousands” of people have entered the United States illegally.
Trump also alleged that Harris is aiming to outdo him, saying, “she wants to be more Trump than Trump.” He further criticized her as a liar, expressing his disapproval of what he perceives as her inability to manage key issues effectively.
Musk’s Agreement and Discussion on U.S. Issues with Trump
Musk appeared to agree with Trump’s assessment, describing Harris’ behavior as “far left.” The former president went on to accuse the Biden-Harris administration of worsening the U.S. economy, attributing the nation’s high crime rates to their open border policy. Trump reiterated his stance on immigration, emphasizing his support for legal immigration while condemning illegal immigration.
In response to a question from Musk, Trump also criticized Biden’s foreign policy, praising Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un for their strength. Trump suggested that there would have been no ongoing conflicts if he had remained president.
Musk, adding to the discussion, emphasized that people respond to strength, not weakness, and argued that some individuals are “more dangerous than Russia and China.” He dismissed climate change as the greatest threat, instead pointing to nuclear conflict as a more pressing danger.

The conversation also touched on the U.S. economy, with Trump stating that the country is experiencing the worst inflation in 100 years. He blamed the Biden-Harris administration for the economic downturn, while Musk argued for a reduction in government spending and the establishment of a government efficiency commission.

During the interview, Trump identified China as a primary competitor in Artificial Intelligence and proposed closing the Department of Education, transferring its responsibilities to the states. He hinted at enlisting Musk’s help in this endeavor.
