    • Scanner Image Sharing: Enhances transparency in customs processes, starting with Kenya and Uganda.
    • One-Stop Border Posts: Reduces border crossing times by 70% and saves $63 million annually.
    • Regional Authorised Economic Operators: Facilitates mutual recognition and smoother trade operations.

    The platform is expected to significantly boost intra-regional trade by addressing common challenges such as non-tariff barriers and inefficiencies in cross-border transactions. The EAC Secretary General, Veronica Nduva, highlighted the platform’s role in advancing regional integration and deepening trade.
