    Sharia Compliance and Halal Business Expo 2025 Shines Bright in Nairobi

    The 2nd Edition of the Sharia Compliance and Halal Business Expo 2025 was an incredible success a three-day celebration of ethical enterprise, innovation, and collaboration. Held from October 10 to 12, 2025, at the BBS Mall in Eastleigh, the event brought together over 130 exhibitors and attracted more than 5,000 visitors from across East Africa and beyond.

    The Expo showcased a diverse range of Sharia-compliant and Halal products and services from seven countries, covering sectors such as finance, real estate, airlines, investment, fashion, food, and lifestyle. Exhibitors and visitors alike praised the platform for promoting responsible and faith-based business practices rooted in integrity and inclusivity.

    The event was officially opened by Ambassador Jabril Ibrahim Cabdulle, the Somali envoy to Kenya, who commended the Expo for advancing Halal trade and strengthening regional partnerships.

    “Such fairs should be regular, as they set the stage for sustained trade between Kenya and Somalia a partnership that continues to flourish,” he said.

    Also in attendance was Christine, CEO of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) Nairobi Chapter, alongside diplomats, senior government officials, and prominent business leaders.

    Speaking during the event, Ridwan Yusuf, CEO of the Sharia Compliance and Halal Business Expo, emphasized the importance of the initiative in advancing Halal trade and Islamic finance.

    “The Expo serves

    as a bridge connecting businesses that value integrity, transparency, and ethical growth. It’s a catalyst for fostering inclusive economic development through Sharia-compliant investments,” he stated.

    Building on the success of its inaugural edition, this year’s Expo drew even more exhibitors and delegates, highlighting the growing interest in Islamic finance, agribusiness, tourism, fashion, and real estate.

    Ambassador Jabril Ibrahim Cabdulle also noted that Halal trade is expanding globally, especially across Africa, and praised Somali entrepreneurs for their pivotal role in promoting ethical commerce.

    The 2025 edition not only strengthened Kenya’s position as a regional hub for ethical and Sharia-compliant business but also set the stage for future growth and collaboration. Following the overwhelming turnout and positive feedback, organizers announced that preparations are already underway for the 3rd Edition, scheduled for April 2026 in Nairobi.

    Held under the theme “Empowering Ethical Enterprise for a Sustainable Future,” the Expo was more than just an exhibition  it was a dynamic and inspiring platform driving sustainable development, innovation, and unity through ethical enterprise.

    In summary, the Sharia Compliance and Halal Business Expo 2025 was nothing short of awesome  a remarkable showcase of opportunity, culture, and collaboration that left exhibitors and visitors inspired for what’s next.
