Chelsea announced on Sunday that manager Graham Potter has left the club following a disappointing run of games in the English Premier League.
“Graham has promised to work with the Club to ensure a smooth transition. Graham has led the team to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, where we will meet Real Madrid “Chelsea made the announcement in a statement.
The London Football Club announced that Bruno Saltor would take over as interim head coach.
Chelsea, who are 11th in the table with 38 points from 28 games, were defeated 2-0 at home by Aston Villa on Saturday.
Potter, 47, had been in charge since September and led the Blues to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals against Real Madrid this season.
