    In a Group B match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, England and the US fought to a scoreless tie on Friday.

    In the 10th minute at Al Bayt Stadium, American Walker Zimmerman stopped England attacker Harry Kane’s attempt to score from inside the six-yard box.

    Despite firing at the opposing goal in the 25th minute from close range, US midfielder Weston McKennie was unable to capitalize.

    In the 32nd minute, winger Christian Pulisic of Chelsea, who is based in the US, struck England’s crossbar with a long left-footed drive.

    In the 42nd minute, Pulisic missed another opportunity with a misplaced header.

    In the 44th minute, England’s Bukayo Saka missed a penalty area shot.

    In the 46th minute, US goalkeeper Matt Turner deflected Mason Mount’s crisp effort into the corner, ending the opening period without a score.

    Turner stopped Marcus Rashford’s long-range attempt in the 86th minute of the second half.

    In the 93rd minute, Kane missed another opportunity to score for England with a mishit header.

    Group B’s top team, England, with four points. Second with 3 is Iran. Wales finishes last in the group with one point, while the US is in last place with two.
