    Somali Magazine - People's Magazine

As the CEO and founder of Somali Magazine, I am incredibly proud to present this year’s edition of the 100 Most Influential Somali People and Person of the Year. This marks another milestone in our ongoing commitment to not only celebrate Somali excellence but also to provide a platform that amplifies the diverse voices, stories, and contributions of our community worldwide.

When we first embarked on this journey six years ago, we envisioned creating a space where the achievements of Somalis in all fields—whether business, politics, culture, or social activism—could be recognized and celebrated. Since then, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, and each year has reaffirmed the importance of this endeavor. The individuals featured in this list represent the very best of what our people can achieve when they pursue their passions with determination, resilience, and vision.

Over the years, we have seen a profound transformation within the Somali community. We are no longer just defined by our challenges but by our triumphs and the positive impact we are making on the global stage. These stories of success are not just for us to celebrate—they are meant to inspire future generations, showing them that anything is possible when we come together with purpose and ambition.

This initiative is more than a celebration of individual accomplishments; it is a reminder of the power of recognition and the role it plays in motivating others. It’s about building a legacy of pride, unity, and progress, and showing the world that the Somali people are a force to be reckoned with. This year, as in the past, we honor not just the big names but also those who work quietly but tirelessly to create meaningful change in their communities.

As we announce the Person of the Year, we are recognizing not just an individual’s achievements but also their ability to inspire and lead others toward a brighter future. This person stands as a beacon of hope and a symbol of the values we hold dear—resilience, innovation, and community.

Looking ahead, we will continue to celebrate the stories of those who are shaping the future, both within the Somali community and beyond. I hope that this edition encourages you to think about the ways in which you can contribute to the ongoing journey of excellence and progress. Together, we have the power to redefine the narrative of what it means to be Somali, and to inspire the next generation to dream bigger and achieve more.

Thank you for being a part of this journey, and for your continued support of Somali Magazine.
