The Lions won at Nef Stadium in Istanbul with to goals from Dutch winger Ryan Babel in the 51st minute and Turkish forward Halil Dervisoglu in the 53rd minute.
Galatasaray, who have had a difficult time lately, are 12th in the Super Lig standings with 44 points, while Yeni Malatyaspor are dead bottom in the rankings with 20 points.
