His Highness the President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, on Wednesday.
The two presidents reviewed continuing bilateral relations as well as potential areas for future collaboration, particularly in terms of promoting Somalia’s growth and stability.
The meeting took place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre during the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2023). (ADNEC).
Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the Somali president’s visit and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to promoting peace and development for Somalia and its people.
During the discussion, the UAE President toured many pavilions of national and international enterprises attending IDEX and was briefed on some of the most recent advancements and technologies in the defense industry.
President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed was accompanied on the tour by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Adviser for Special Matters in the Presidential Court; and Staff Lt. General Engineer Issa Saif Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Military Forces.
