    Portugal qualified for the last 16 at EURO 2024.

    SOMALI MAGAZINE: Portugal defeated Turkey 3–0 on Saturday to secure their berth in the UEFA EURO 2024 Round of 16.

    Bernardo Silva scored the first goal in the 21st minute of a Group F encounter at the BVB Stadion Dortmund.

    In minute 28, Turkish defender Samet Akaydin inadvertently scored an own goal with a backpass, doubling Portugal’s advantage.

    Bruno Fernandes scored an insurance goal in the second half after Cristiano Ronaldo overcame Turkey’s offside trap. Fernandes scored a simple goal with an assist from Ronaldo.

    Portugal, led by Roberto Martinez, currently leads Group F with six points.

    The EURO 2016 champions will face the Georgian underdogs on June 26 in Gelsenkirchen to wrap up the group stage.

    Turkey will meet the Czech Republic in Hamburg on the same day.

    Türkiye has three points and is second in the group.

    The Czech Republic and Georgia have one point each before the group’s third match.

    Separately, Belgium earned their first points in Group E after defeating Romania 2-0 in Cologne.

    Youri Tielemans and Kevin De Bruyne scored for Belgium.

    Spain, Portugal, and the host nation, Germany, have advanced to the round of 16.
