Somali Magazine October 17,2023- According to LSEG data, the Kenyan shilling fell to a new low versus the US dollar on Monday.
The shilling was trading at 149.35/55 per US dollar at 1015 GMT, compared to 149.20/40 at the close on Friday.
The pound fell to an all-time low of 149.40/60 against the dollar earlier in the session, having lost 17.4% of its value since the beginning of the year.
Dollar demand is often driven by the petroleum and manufacturing industries.
