Somali Magazine – Principles for Peace, a new initiative for promoting conversation and reconciliation, was inaugurated in Mogadishu on Wednesday, with Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre as the keynote speaker. Representatives from local, regional, and worldwide organizations, research institutes, governments, commercial sector entities, and other relevant networks attended the event as part of the Stakeholder Platform that supports the project.
Barre expressed his optimism that Somalia will soon become a country of peace, discussion, democracy, and growth in his address. He also expressed thanks to Principles for Peace for their work in Somalia. He observed that they were born during a period of great fear in the globe, yet they decided to work for peace and reconciliation. He also stated that their collaboration in Somalia will expand dramatically.
In his speech, Barre expressed hope that Somalia will soon become a country of peace, debate, democracy, and progress. He also expressed gratitude to Principles for Peace for their efforts in Somalia. He remarked that they were born during a time of immense anxiety across the world, yet they chose to work for peace and reconciliation. He also predicted that their partnership in Somalia will grow significantly.
