The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TKA) constructed a health center (infirmary) in Mogadishu’s General Daud Abdulle Hirsi Barracks and provided medicines and medical equipment.

TKA officials and commanders from the Turkish Task Force Command and the recently built General Daud Abdulle Hirsi Barracks in Somalia attended the inaugural ceremony of the Health Center.
TKA erected a health facility and provided pharmaceuticals and a variety of medical equipment, including surgical trolleys, patient privacy screens, medicine cabinets, refrigerators, UMKE-type emergency response packs, wheelchairs, and oxygen tanks, as part of the project. The project intends to contribute to the disease and injury prevention services provided to Somali troops who serve and are trained in barracks.

Operating since September 2017 at the base built by TİKA, Somalia-Turkish Task Force Command (TÜRKSOM) continues to train Officer Cadets and Cadet NCOs under the Military Training and Cooperation Agreement, signed between Türkiye and Somalia.
