President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated on Wednesday that Turkey has become one of the countries that are highlighted in the aviation sector.
“Not only Istanbul Airport, but each of our airports, which we have developed from 26 to 57, amazes its tourists with comfort, technology, architecture and other services.
“Turkey, which had a limited presence in the sphere of aviation until 15-20 years ago, is now one of the countries highlighted in this industry,” Erdogan said in a video address to the Turkish Airlines executive conference.
Erdogan added that despite the aviation sector being negatively impacted by the coronavirus epidemic and regional conflicts over the last three years, Turkey survived the crisis with the least amount of damage due to the measures and innovative practices implemented by Turkish Airlines during that time.
“Turkey has managed the health element of the epidemic successfully, and it has also achieved the same accomplishment in air transportation and transportation,” he said.
