    Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other world leaders exchange Muslim holiday greetings.

    Turkiye’s president exchanged pleasantries with other leaders on Monday for the Islamic Eid al-Fitr festival, which marks the conclusion of Ramadan, the Muslim holy month.

    According to a statement from Turkiye’s Communications Directorate, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Azerbaijani colleague exchanged Eid wishes over the phone.

    The two leaders discussed the future of relations, expressing optimism that friendly and brotherly ties between Turkiye and Azerbaijan will continue to grow successfully in all sectors, according to a statement from the Azerbaijani Presidency.

    According to the statement, Erdogan also accepted Aliyev’s invitation to visit Azerbaijan.

    President Ersin Tatar of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), as well as Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad, exchanged Eid greetings with Erdogan.

    Israeli President Isaac Herzog also telephoned Erdogan to extend greetings for the Eid holiday
