Turkey is “the guarantor of peace, stability, and safety in our region,” said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Saturday.
Speaking at Türkiye’s premier technology event, TEKNOFEST, Aliyev emphasized that in the last 20 years, Türkiye has evolved into a country with a voice in the world.
He stated that Turkey and Azerbaijan are always friends.
When asked about the country’s conflict with Armenia in the Karabakh region last year, he stated that Turkey supported Azerbaijan from the beginning to the end of the conflict.
Aliyev congratulated Selcuk Bayraktar, the head of T3 Foundation, the organizer of TEKNOFEST, and the chief technical officer of Turkish aviation firm Baykar, and stated that Baykar will soon construct an aircraft production unit in Azerbaijan.
At the event, Aliyev also drove Turkey’s indigenous electric car TOGG’s T10X model.
Libya and Turkey share a “deeply rooted cooperation.”
Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh said his visit to TEKNOFEST is the outcome of deep cooperation between Turkey and Libya.
He complimented Turkey on being one of the countries having nuclear power plants, mentioning the recently launched Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant.
Dbeibeh further stated that Turkey maintains a tough position in the face of all problems.
He also expressed gratitude to Türkiye and the Turkish aviation business Baykar for helping to improve Libya’s air defense systems.
