As the battle between the two nations continues on, talks between Ukraine and Russia are set to begin on Wednesday, according to Ukraine’s senior negotiator Mikhail Podolyak.
“It was a long and arduous bargaining process. Fundamental inconsistencies exist. On Twitter, Podolyak, who is also an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, remarked, “There is surely opportunity for compromise.”
“Work in subgroups will continue throughout the vacation,” Podolyak added.
The conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which began on February 24, has sparked worldwide censure, financial penalties against Moscow, and an exodus of global corporations from Russia.
Since the start of the war in Ukraine, at least 691 people have died and 1,143 have been injured.
According to the United Nations, more than 3 million refugees have fled to neighboring nations.
