Sami Al Haidari, a renowned Yemeni businessman, and three of his family members were killed in an automobile accident on the road between Hargeisa and Berbera in Somaliland. The crash killed Al Haidari, a well-known figure in Hargeisa, his wife, a young child, and another female relative.
Al Haidari was well-known in the region for his booming companies and charity efforts. His untimely passing has shocked and saddened the community.
In Hargeisa, the family was laid to rest. Government representatives from Somaliland attended the burial and lauded Al Haidari’s character. “He was a man who was loved by all, and he always had a kind face, brotherhood, and piety when you met him.” “I ask anyone who can hear my voice to support the family during this tragedy,” stated Somaliland’s Minister of Religion and Endowment, Sheikh Abdirisaq Hussein Albani.
Road accidents are becoming a rising worry in Somaliland, especially during the holiday season when people go on vacation. Accidents have been increasing year after year, forcing the Somaliland government to caution its inhabitants to be especially cautious due to an exceptionally high number of vehicles on the roadways.
