Somalia’s coach, Nur Mohamed, has stated that his squad will hurl everything at Senegal in their last Group A match in the TotalEnergies U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Friday in Constantine.

Somalia, which has one point from their draw with Congo, has a chance to make a memorable last eight if they can earn three points versus unbeaten Senegal.

And Nur says they are willing to give everything on the field in order to get the three points.

“We came here to compete, not to observe.” We appreciate our opponents who have already qualified, and regardless of whether they rest players, we are focused on what we can accomplish as a team. “We’re hoping to win and advance to the quarterfinals,” stated the strategist.

Goalkeeper Abdikadir Mohamed, one of their standout performers in this tournament, stated as much, adding that the team are ready to give their best.

“We know they’re a strong team, but we’re also a good team.” We have prepared well for this game, and the players are confident. “We want to win,” said the shot stopper.

Coach Mohamed claims that the first two games provided them with sufficient experience and confidence, and that they will approach the third game as a better squad, with a greater hunger and determination to win.
