    After defeating Fiorentina, Inter Milan wins the Italian Cup.

    Inter Milan defeated Fiorentina 2-1 on Wednesday to win the Coppa Italia (Italian Cup) for the second consecutive year.

    Fiorentina’s Nicolas Gonzalez gave his club a 1-0 lead early on in the final at Rome’s Olimpico Stadium. To conclude, he was unidentified at the far post.

    In the 29th minute, Lautaro Martinez of Inter scored the equaliser after eluding Fiorentina’s offside defence after being feed by Marcelo Brozovic of Inter.

    When Martinez scored once more in the 37th minute, the Nerazzurri rallied.

    The 25-year-old scored the game-winning goal with a right-footed volley after Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella’s cross from the edge of the box.

    Martinez, an Inter attacker since 2018, achieved 101 goals with the Nerazzurri with his two goals against Fiorentina.

    To tie Roma, Inter has won the Italian Cup nine times.

    Juventus holds the record with 14 titles.

    The last time Fiorentina won the  title was in 2001. They were this year’s finalists.
