The Turkish House in New York, which houses Turkey’s diplomatic missions, was targeted early Monday morning.

The offender damaged the building’s windows around 3.14 a.m. local time, according to Turkish Consul General in New York Reyhan Ozgur.

According to Ozgur, no one was wounded, but the building’s windows and doors were damaged.

According to him, the perpetrator, who has yet to be recognised, left a jemmy on the scene.

The New York Police Department sealed off the building and initiated an investigation into the event.

The incident has not affected voting in Türkiye’s presidential election runoff for Turks in New York who are now voting at Turkish House, according to Ozgur.
