Somali Magazine-Amb. Awale Ali Kullane, Somalia’s Ambassador to China, presented a lecture during the “Wind Power and Energy Interconnection Thematic Forum” of the 2023 Global Energy Interconnection Conference, which was held in Beijing from September 25 to 27. He emphasized how Somalia’s wind energy potential is a game changer for the country’s growth and urged further partnership with China to create a greener and cleaner world.
The Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO) organized the conference in order to pool global wisdom, seek shared development, address major challenges, and suggest solutions for global energy, climate, environment, sustainable development, and biodiversity protection.
It was also the eighth anniversary of the Global Energy Interconnection (GEI) initiative and the second anniversary of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) during the conference.
