Somali Magazine – The Somali Police Force (SPF) has launched a seven-day training session at Mogadishu’s General Kaahiye Police Academy. The training, organized by the African Union Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) Police, aims to provide SPF personnel with critical knowledge and abilities for efficient community policing and crime prevention.

SPF Director of General Operations Command Brigadier General Mohamed Mohamud Mohamed and ATMIS Police Training & Development Coordinator Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Samuel Asiedu Okanta expressed their ongoing commitment to enhancing the capabilities of SPF officers. They stressed the need of continued training programs, reinforcing the SPF’s commitment to continuous progress and development.

SPF officers are supposed to gain practical skills that will contribute to Somalia’s entire security picture as their training advances. The program’s emphasis on community policing and crime prevention is consistent with the larger goal of ensuring the nation’s long-term stability and safety.
