September 2026
The AU-EU Youth Action Lab, under the AU-EU Youth Lab Programme, is calling on eligible youth-led organisations across Africa to take advantage of its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Grants, designed to support young people turning ideas and innovations into tangible impact in their communities.
The Innovation Grants and Entrepreneurship Grants provide an opportunity for eligible youth-led organisations to strengthen their ideas, develop innovative solutions, and create meaningful community impact.
The grants are open to eligible youth-led organisations registered in Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia (Somaliland), Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
The AU-EU Youth Action Lab is particularly encouraging young people and youth-led organisations in Mozambique, Senegal, Tunisia, Somaliland, and Zimbabwe, because in the past, these countries have recorded low registrations. Currently, there is a drive for increased awareness of the opportunities to initiate greater participation.
“You have the idea. There is funding to help you make it happen.”
Through the AU-EU Youth Action Lab, young people with innovative ideas are encouraged to explore the available funding opportunities and consider how their organisations can contribute to positive change in their communities.
A Call to Youth Innovators and Entrepreneurs
The AU-EU Youth Action Lab is encouraging youth leaders, youth and development organisations working with young people, government institutions, and other stakeholders supporting youth empowerment to share information about the grants within their networks.
With the application deadline approaching on 23 September 2026, eligible organisations are encouraged to review the grant requirements and submit their applications as soon as possible.
To support the open call for applications, Youth Advisory Board (YAB) members from Mozambique, Senegal, Tunisia, and Zimbabwe, through targeted media engagements, will provide young people in these countries with direct information about the opportunities and how they can participate.
