Somali Magazine – Bayer Leverkusen kept their German Bundesliga title hopes alive with a 3-0 victory over Bayern Munich on Saturday.

In the 18th minute at BayArena, Leverkusen’s Croatian defender Josip Stanisic scored from the back post following a corner kick.

Alejandro Grimaldo, a Spanish defender, extended the hosts’ advantage in the 50th minute by sending a free kick high beyond Bayern Munich keeper Manuel Neuer.

In the 95th minute, Dutch defender Jeremie Frimpong added salt to Bayern’s wounds by scoring the third goal on a counterattack for Leverkusen.

Bayern may not be pleased with their performance in this game, since they only had one shot on target.

Leverkusen, under by Spanish manager Xabi Alonso, secured first place in the German Bundesliga with 55 points, while Bayern Munich trailed with 50.
