In a German Bundesliga game on Saturday, Leipzig defeated Bayern Munich 3-1, giving rival Borussia Dortmund a chance to win the championship.

Despite the hosts at the Allianz Arena taking the lead thanks to a goal from Serge Gnabry in the 25th minute, Bayern could not maintain it.

Konrad Laimer’s equaliser in the 64th minute was followed by two penalty goals for Leipzig in the 76th and 86th minutes, respectively, from Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai.

In the last round of play, Bayern will face Cologne, while Bayern’s championship rivals Dortmund will play Augsburg on Sunday before hosting Mainz 05 on May 27.

Borussia Dortmund is in last place with 67 points, while Bayern Munich continues to lead with 68. With 63 points, Leipzig moved up to third place.

If Dortmund wins the championship, Bayern Munich’s 10-year winning streak will come to an end.
