NAIROBI, KENYA — In a city where business moves at the speed of a conversation, the most valuable opportunity in the room is not always on the agenda. Sometimes, it is the person sitting across the table.

That is the thinking behind the return of Business Networking Night (BNN), organized by Somali Magazine, which will host its Second Edition on 20 September 2026 at the Argyle Grand Hotel Nairobi, bringing together a distinguished gathering of CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors, executives, business owners, professionals and emerging leaders.

Beginning at 6:00 PM, the evening is designed to create an environment where relationships take centre stage — where introductions can become partnerships, ideas can become ventures, and conversations can open doors to opportunities that extend well beyond the evening itself.

The second edition comes with a clear ambition: to make BNN more than an event.

Organized by Somali Magazine, BNN is emerging as a platform designed to connect people who are actively shaping business, investment and entrepreneurship across Nairobi and the wider East African region.

For CEOs and established business leaders, BNN offers an opportunity to step outside the conventional boardroom and engage directly with other decision-makers. For entrepreneurs, it creates access to potential investors, partners and clients. For professionals and emerging leaders, it provides a room where relationships with experienced figures can develop organically.

At the centre of the initiative is Ridwan Yusuf Mohamud, CEO and Founder of Business Networking Night, whose vision is to build a platform where the quality of connections matters as much as the number of people in the room.

“Business is ultimately about people. Capital, ideas and technology are important, but meaningful relationships are what often turn opportunities into lasting partnerships. BNN was created to bring ambitious people into the same room and create the space for those relationships to begin.”

Mohamud believes the second edition represents an important step in the evolution of the platform.

“The first edition gave us the foundation. The second edition is about expanding the vision. We want BNN to become a trusted meeting point for CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors and professionals — a place where people come not simply to network, but to discover what they can build together.”

With Somali Magazine behind the initiative, BNN also reflects the publication’s broader commitment to creating platforms that connect business, leadership and opportunity.

Rather than another conventional conference built around a stage and an audience, the evening places the room itself at the centre of the experience. The conversations, introductions and relationships formed among attendees are intended to be the defining feature of the night.

The event will bring together a carefully selected audience, making the evening strictly invitation-based and focused on the quality of participation rather than simply the size of the crowd.

For those attending, the objective is straightforward: connect, engage and discover what becomes possible when the right people meet.

And if the first edition was an introduction, the second could mark the beginning of something considerably bigger.
