Campbell Scott’s body found in a forest; multiple arrests made as authorities investigate his mysterious death

Kenyan police have identified three men they believe were involved in the murder of a Scottish businessman, Campbell Scott. His body was found wrapped in a sack of pineapples in a forest about 60 miles from Nairobi.

Campbell Scott, 58, from Dunfermline in Fife, Scotland, was a senior director at Fico, a credit scoring firm. He had traveled to Nairobi for a business conference at the JW Marriott Hotel. However, he went missing on February 16 after failing to meet his colleagues for a scheduled presentation. He was last seen visiting a nightclub before his disappearance.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kenya has released images of three men they suspect were involved in his killing. The suspects have been identified as Benard Mbunga Mbusu, Samuel Musembi Kamitu, and Alphonse Munyao Kilewa, also known as “Edu.” Authorities are asking the public for any information about their whereabouts.

Police have already arrested several people in connection with the case. Two men were taken into custody in Nairobi soon after Scott’s body was found. They are a taxi driver and a nightclub waiter, who are believed to have been among the last people to see him alive. Later, two more men were arrested in Mombasa, a city on Kenya’s coast, about 300 miles from Nairobi.

Investigators suspect that Scott was taken to a house belonging to one of the men, where he was killed. They believe that one of the suspects used his bank cards to withdraw money from his account at three different locations, with the help of another person. A court in Nairobi has allowed police to keep the two suspects in custody for 21 days while they continue investigating.

Scott’s body was found in Makongo Forest, with his hands tied. However, a post-mortem examination did not clearly determine the cause of death. Pathologists reported that his injuries were not severe enough to be fatal, so they have sent samples for toxicology tests to check if he was poisoned.

Kenyan authorities have also asked Interpol to help track Scott’s mobile phone and bank card transactions to gather more evidence about what happened.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are working to arrest everyone involved in this tragic case.
