The Military Framework Agreement between Turkiye and Tajikistan was signed by Turkiye’s National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar and his Tajik counterpart Sherali Mirzo.

The Turkish Defense Ministry said in a statement that Akar welcomed Mirzo with a military ceremony in Ankara, Turkey’s capital.

An inter-delegation meeting was held after their one-on-one meeting.

Bilateral and regional military and security, as well as defense industrial collaboration, were discussed during the discussions.

Turkiye is willing to share its experience on border security and counterterrorism challenges, according to Akar, who emphasized the two countries’ shared beliefs, historical, and cultural ties.

He also emphasized the need of strengthening bilateral military training cooperation.
