Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger asked for help on Friday for victims of the February earthquakes that hit southern Turkey and portions of Syria.

“Turkish people need your help at this terrible moment,” Wegner said in a video published by the Turkish Football Federation on Friday (TFF). “If you are able, we invite you to assist.”

The Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, TFF, Super League Clubs Association Foundation, and the beIN Media Group will lead the Shoulder to Shoulder relief campaign to collect donations for earthquake victims until June 15.

On February 6, earthquakes of 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude struck 11 Turkish provinces, including Adana, Adiyaman, Diyarbakir, Elazig, Hatay, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaras, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, and Sanliurfa.

More than 50,000 people died in Turkey as a result of the earthquakes, which affected 13.5 million people in Turkey and northern Syria.

Wenger, 73, led Arsenal to seven English FA Cups and three English Premier League titles, one of which was undefeated.
