    Germany: 2 Killed in stabbing in southwest Ludwigshafen, suspect detained

    The stabbing occurred on Tuesday afternoon in a Ludwigshafen suburb, according to the police. The Somali national suspect, 25, initially ran away before being apprehended in a pharmacy.

    He was seriously hurt but not in a life-threatening condition as a result of the use of firearms by the officers, according to the police.

    Two German men, aged 20 and 35, were the victims, according to a later statement from the police. German national, age 27, is the person who was seriously hurt.

    In accordance with German privacy law, neither the names of the victims nor the perpetrator were disclosed.
