On Sunday, Liverpool made history by defeating Manchester United 7-0 in the English Premier League week 26 encounter.

As Manchester United were thrashed at Anfield, Mohamed Salah became the club’s all-time leading English Premier League striker.

Cody Gakpo scored Liverpool’s first goal in the 43rd minute, and the first half concluded 1-0. Yet, the Reds’ second-half performance was spectacular.

Darwin Nunez of Uruguay scored an early surprise to Manchester United’s net in the 47th minute, and Gakpo added another exquisite goal three minutes later.

In the 66th minute, Mohamed Salah made it 4-0 for the hosts with a precise shot to the upper left corner.

Nunez added another goal for Liverpool in the 75th minute, and Salah scored again in the 83rd minute to make it 6-0.

With 129 goals, the Egyptian great became Liverpool’s top Premier League scorer.

And, to cap it off, Roberto Firmino’s goal in the 88th minute made it 7-0.

Liverpool’s biggest competitive win over the Red Devils surpassed their 7-1 victory in October 1895.

The Reds moved up to fifth place with 42 points, while the Red Devils are third with 49 points.
