Manchester United arrived in Istanbul on Tuesday for its UEFA Champions League clash against Galatasaray.
The visitors are without many important players including midfielders Mason Mount, Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, defender Lisandro Martinez and forward Marcus Rashford.
In a statement, Manchester United announced their 22-man squad that is traveling to Türkiye for Wednesday’s critical match.
Manchester United defenders Jonny Evans, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia and midfield trio Mason Mount, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen had injury problems to stay in Manchester. In addition, the visitors’ English star Rashford was not added to the Red Devils’ squad as he was suspended.
Antony, Rasmus Hojlund and Luke Shaw were involved for Wednesday’s match in Istanbul.
Altay Bayindir, Manchester United’s Turkish goalkeeper and a former Fenerbahce player, is also among those traveling to Türkiye.
The Galatasaray vs. Man Utd match at Istanbul’s RAMS Park will start at 1745GMT.
Bayern Munich secured 12 points in four matches to win Champions League Group A.
Copenhagen and Galatasaray both have four points, with fourth-place Manchester United trailing with three points in four group matches. The three clubs are now in a battle for the runners-up position.
The Champions League group stage will conclude after matchday six, scheduled to be played on Dec. 12 and 13.
The top two clubs in each group will qualify for the knockout phase.
