Manchester City won the 2023 UEFA Super Cup on penalties after a 1-1 deadlock in regular time in the final on Wednesday.
Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri scored in the 25th minute at Karaiskakis Stadium in Greece.
Cole Palmer, a Manchester City midfielder, equalised in the 63rd minute.
Man City converted all five penalties, but Sevilla failed to convert the fifth and so lost the game.
The 2023 UEFA Champions League champions won their first final, while previous season’s UEFA Europa League champions Sevilla missed out on a second championship.
The UEFA Super Cup is an annual tournament between the champions of the previous season’s UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.
