Arsenal defeated defending English champions Manchester City 1-0 in a Premier League match played on Sunday in London.
In the 86th minute, Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli attempted a shot outside the area that was deflected by Man City defender Nathan Ake’s head before falling inside the net at Emirates Stadium.
Kai Havertz assisted Martinelli.
Following the victory, Arsenal drew level with leaders and archrivals Tottenham Hotspur on 20 points.
Man City climbed up to third place with 18 points after eight games.
Liverpool are fourth in the table with 17 points after a 2-2 draw with Brighton.
