    Mattia Zaccagni’s last-minute goal in the 97th minute helped Italy advance to the final 16 of EURO 2024 after a 1-1 tie on Monday.

    Croatia missed out on advancing to the round of 16 of the 2024 European Football Championship (EURO 2024) due to the Italian goal.

    The first half ended goalless at Leipzig Stadium.

    In the 54th minute, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma stopped Croatian senior player Luka Modric’s penalty attempt at the age of 38 years and 289 days. However, only seconds later, he scored from close range, becoming the oldest player in European Championship history to do it.

    Croatia’s Round of 16 hopes were dashed by striker Zaccagni’s goal in the 97th minute, and Italy advanced to the final 16 of EURO 2024 with a 1-1 tie.

    Spain wins 1-0 against Albania, reaching the Round of 16 with three wins.

    Ferran Torres’ left-footed strike from the post in the 13th minute gave Spain the victory at Dusseldorf Arena.

    Spain leads Group B with nine points at the end of the stage, followed by Italy with four.

    Croatia is third with two points, while Albania finished fourth with one point.
