    Milan beat Verona 3-1 to return to top of Serie A with 2 matches left

    Milan returned to the top of Serie A after a 3-1 victory over Verona on Sunday.

    At Marcantonio Bentegodi Stadium in Verona, Sandro Tonali scored twice and Alessandro Florenzi netted to give the visitors a crucial victory in the title battle.

    Verona’s lone scorer was Davide Faraoni, who led the team to ninth place with 52 points.

    With two games remaining, Milan leads Serie A with 80 points, two points ahead of local rival Inter Milan.
